On the evening of March 12th, a choral concert presented by Frostburg State University from the United States was on at the Musical Hall of HNU's Musical College. Professor Lu Yuehua, Vice President of HNU, Professor John Bowman, Vice Provost of Frostburg State University and the officials from Hunan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries as well as around 400 students of HNU enjoyed the grand musical event.
Before the concert, Mr. Lu Yuehua and Mr. John Bowman had a pleasant meeting and signed the Preliminary Agreement on Exchanging Students between Hunan Normal University and Frostburg State University.

The choral concert, unveiled in people¡¯s ardent applause, began with Ave Maria by the 26-member choir. The 12 songs were of five different music styles: contemporary American sacred, contemporary American secular, jazz songs, folk songs and spirituals. The American folk music Shennadoah displayed a young man's nostalgia when away from their motherland; the piece of classic Jazz struck a chord in the audience's hearts; the pop song Winter brought people into a peaceful winter-day. The Chinese folk song Wusuli Boat Song put the concert to its very climax. The choral concert went through smoothly and was concluded a great success.

In the March of 2007, Mr. John Bowman with his delegation has been to HNU to seek for friendly exchange and cooperation. A10-member delegation was sent by Frostburg State University to HNU for a two-week study and research in January, 2008. Expecting much on the establishment of friendly relationship with each other, both universities have contributed lots of efforts.
