The Second International Dragon and Lion Dance Summit Competition at Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province lowered the curtain. HUN got the gold medal in Northern Lion Competition.

On Nov. 9, Li Zhijian, former Party Secretary of General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) and Vice President of Chinese Olympic Committee, Hu Zhengpeng, Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province presented at the opening ceremony. 21 teams from 13 countries and areas including U.S.A., Britain, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil and China Hong Kong and China Taipei, and from provinces such as Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, etc, joined the competition.

In the Northern Lion Competition, HNU team performed “Saving Lord in Demoniac Mountain”, which broke the traditional route. The storytelling performance was novel to audience thus gained wildly applause, which at the end seized the gold at a score of 9.24, Northern Lion King, as a honorable title, was awarded as well.

This competition was jointly held by Social Sports Administrative Center of GASC, Chinese Dragon and Lion Association (CDA), Jiujiang People’s Government, Jiangxi Administration of Sports. More than 400 people took part in the competition pursuing for 21 medals in Dragon Dancing, Southern Lion and North Lion. The competition presented a wonderful dragon and lion show to the audiences.
