On the afternoon of Nov.11^th, Delegation of International Higher Education Exchange from Minnesota, USA, headed by the state councilor Dan Skogen, visited HUN. Zhou Wantian, the university supervisor of HNU, held a welcoming ceremony for the guests on campus. Later, a discussion underwent between the two sides.

In his ardent address, Zhou Wantian extended his sincere and warm welcome to the guests, and conveyed provincial governor Zhou Qiang’s expectation on this exchange activity. Dan Skogen also placed high expectation on the mutual cooperation in education area. Students of HUN’s Foreign Studies College who were presented at the meeting took an active part in the discussion; all their questions had got due answers from the delegation members.

Senator Dan Skogen and his delegates, who also paid a visit to library, Yuewang Pavilion Scenic Area, remarked highly to the beautiful campus.

There were altogether 20 members in the delegation. Besides top managers from the colleges under Minnesota’s Private College Council, there also came friends from the state’s media and business circle. Through this visit, the delegation as well as HUN meant to deepen understandings between colleges in Hunan Province and private colleges in Minnesota, sought for partners for the cooperation programs, so as to make certain contribution to the cooperation in teacher and student exchange, joint-degree programs and exchange in scientific researches and so on.
