President of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Finland visited HNU
Lauri Lantto, President of Oulu University of Applied Sciences (OUAS), arrived at HNU on the morning of Nov.1, starting his 3-day visit with his delegates on invitation. HNU President Liu Xiangrong and Vice President Jiang Hongxin held a welcome ceremony at the President Office Building.
President Liu expressed his sincere welcome to President Lantto as well as his thankfulness to President Lantto’s warm reception during his visit to OUAS in early June. President Liu briefly reviewed the achievement in student exchanges between the two universities, and he suggested the expanding cooperation in faculty exchanges and scientific researches. President Lantto showed his approval on the suggestion and also thanked the host for the great hospitality.
President Lantto was visiting HNU for the first time. The two institutions established the formal partnership relation in 2003 and have started the students exchange programs since then. The two sides will focus on the Music, Business, Engineering and other fields for the further collaboration.
