Hunan Normal University, Changsha, Oct. 24, 2007: President Liu Xiangrong at the Red Building met Mr. Michel Freymuth, Consul General of Consulate General of France in Wuhan and Ms Pascale Vacher, Attache of Educational and Cultural Cooperation of the Consulate General. Vice President Jiang Hongxin, and Ran Yi, Director of OIEC, together with faculties from relevant departments attended the reception.

Firstly, President Liu, on behalf of HNU, extended his sincere welcome to Mr. Freymuth.Then, they had a friendly and close conversation, from which Mr. Freymuth has had a general idea of the cooperation between HNU and French Universities. He also expressed his good wish of strengthening the friendship between China, especially Changsha, and France through the cooperation between HNU and French universities.

Before the meeting with President Liu, Mr. Freymuth visited HNU’s library, Zhishan Building, Yuewang Tower and student apartments and spoke highly of the environment and facilities of the campus. He also invited Mr. Liu as a guest to the evening banquet, at which French entrepreneurs in Changsha and other guests from different circles such as economy, education and culture both in France and Hunan will present.
