Symposium on Sino-Japanese Communication at HNU
Hunan Normal University, Changsha, May 19, 2007: A symposium, which is co-sponsored by Japanese Association in Hunan and HNU, is grandly held at the International Academic Auditorium of HNU. The themes of the symposium are the ¡®35-year Anniversary of Normalization of Sino-Japanese Relations¡¯ and ¡®Harmonious Society and Being a Citizens of the Global Village¡¯, which aim at deepening understanding of the two peoples, enlarging communication, promoting worldwide peace and sustainable development.
Those who attended the symposium are Mr. IDE Keiji, Minister of Japan Embassy in China, Mr. Kunimatsu Yoshitsugu from International Association of Shiga in Japan, Matsunaga Jun, President of Japanese Association in Hunan, Yoshimi Ishikawa, a writer of the 21st Committee of New Sino-Japanese Friendship and President of Arts and Crafts University of Niigata, Mr. Pang Liping, Vice-president of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Hunan, Zhong Fali, Associate Director of Changsha Foreign Affairs Office, and Professor Ran Yi, Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. In addition, other representatives of Japanese citizens, employees and students in Hunan and students from other famous universities in Hunan were presented at the symposium.
During the symposium, Mr. Yoshimi Ishikawa and Professor Ran Yi delivered speeches respectively. Soon afterwards, debates and discussions started among the audiences. ¡®Declaration of Global Villagers from Changsha¡¯ was announced and ¡®Marathon by Global Citizens in Changsha¡¯ was initiated at the closing ceremony of the symposium.
