Hunan Normal University, Changsha, April 14, 2007: As the host of southwest section of the 9th CUBA (Chinese University Basketball Association), HNU has won total victories in both men and women games so far. HNU women defeated their 4th opponent Southwest University by scores of 79:38 on 13th, standing at the top of the group. Men made their 3rd success by defeating Chongqing University by scores of 86:79 on 12th.

CUBA is one of the most influential basketball league matches for universities in China, it is held by different member universities in tern. HNU is honored to hold the southwest section of this game for the first time, which started from Apr.9th and is going to end on 16th.

To prepare the game, more than 5 million yuan has been invested into the game by HNU to renew the gym and upgrade the illumination, sound system, electronic display, and etc. A security team has been deployed around the places where athletes live and play. Besides, campus and other media outlets are putting close eyes on the games, some among which are broadcasted by CCTV-5 lively.
