Festival of Lanterns Celebrated by the Confucius Institute at Kazan University, Russia

A party was held to celebrate Chinese New Year and Festival of Lanterns by HNU¡¯s Confucius Institute at Kazan University in Kazan, Russia on 20 February. More than 300 spectators and actors got together at the auditoria of Kazan University, which put on a festive atmosphere in that special evening.
¡°Happy New Year, happy New Year, happy New Year to you all¡¡± boys carrying lanterns, girls holding red silk flowers, all sang merry songs to send out their heartfelt wishes.
Just having studied Chinese half year, students majoring in International Relation performed ¡°Chinese Zodiac Celebrating the Festival of Lanterns¡±. Their humoristic performance made all the spectators burst their sides with laughter.
Students from the 18th Middle School of Kazan gained thunderous applause by singing the song ¡°I love Beijing Tian¡¯anmen Rostrum¡± soulfully in Chinese.
Children from Kazan city¡¯s martial art team gave a wonderful show of martial art, leading people into the amazing world of China¡¯s martial art.
Pretty Russian girls dressed up in Chinese people¡¯s traditional folk costume, and began the dance of Yangko with red ribbon flourishing happily. Brilliant smiley-face, happy music and bright dance cheered up everyone..
There were also some programs on customers of Spring Festival and Festival of Lanterns. A song of ¡°Friends¡± which came last involved all the actors and spectators, putting the party to the climax. Friends from different places and of different age shared the happiness of the festival, enjoyed the charm of Chinese culture, and felt the nicety of friendship.
