New Year's Party for Professors and Doctors at HUN

Hunan Normal University, Changsha, Jan. 16, 2007: On the afternoon of Jan. 16, HNU held New Year's Party for professors and doctors in the concert hall of the College of Music. All leaders at home, professors and doctors gathered happily to celebrate the new year.

Chairman of HNU’s Council Zhang Guoji gave a passionate speech at the party. He expressed thanks on behalf of the Party Committee and the administration of the university to all professors and doctors for their hard work and outstanding contributions to the university. He wished all happy new year, successful job and happy family, and he hoped all make persistent efforts to promote the development of the university. Zhang also said that the university will take further actions to serve professors and doctors and set a favorable stage for them in terms of construction and administration of the university.

Excellent shows were performed at the party by students and teachers from the College of Music, attracting waves of applauses from professors and doctors. A show with solo singing and calligraphy art shows performed by Prof. Zhang Jian from College of Life Science and Prof. Jiang Songrong from College of Fine Arts were welcomed.

Before the party, professors and doctors were invited to the art exhibition of College of Fine Arts. The party was sponsored by Party Committee Office, President Office, Personnel Department and Labor Union, and executively hosted by the College of Music.
