New Year Address

The year of 2006 has faded out with rich harvest and the year of 2007 has come with many hopes. On the occasion of a new year in as well as an old year out, we, on behalf of the CCP Committee and administration of HNU, express the sincere wishes and greetings to all faculties and staff who are diligently working at teaching, scientific research and management, to retired people and students, and to leaders and friends all over the sections of the society who have been concerning and supporting our university.

The diligent always get what they deserve with the time flying. The year of 2006 was extraordinary in the history of our university, in this year, we passed the general inspection of 211 Project of the National 10th Five-Year Plan, and we accepted the Undergraduate Education Evaluation of Ministry of Education. And also in this year, we made breakthroughs in, for the first time, acquiring program sponsored by Engineering Research Center of Ministry of Education and Excellent Teacher Award of National Higher Education. The quality of education and other affairs of our university have been further promoted. We know it very well that every step of our development reflected the wisdom and effort of all the faculty, staff and students. The achievements, thus, belong to all the HNU people! We are i dearly grateful to all of them with holy repest.

Everything is taking on a new look in the flying time. In the year of 2007, our mission of reform and development will be heavy and arduous. In this year, the party committee and administration will take a firmer insist on the Scientific Concept of Development, carefully implement the theme of the Seventeenth National Congress of CCP, and work hard to make our university satisfactory to all the faculty, students and people. We will also improve the quality of education, further enhance the construction of key subjects to boost a complete progress and to realize new development in the discipline construction, encourage the spirit of Be Human, Caring, Excellent and Industrious and accelerate university culture development to constitute a harmonious university. In the new year, with the guide of Scientific Concept of Development, we are about to promote reform, regulate management, encourage creativity and push a faster development, to achieve a better result in all aspects of our university. We hope all work jointly, to love and to glorify our university, and to make new contribution
