Chinese Training Program for Malaysian Teachers Lowered the Curtain
Hunan Normal University, Changsha, Dec. 4, 2006: ¡°We appreciate the training program and we appreciate all the hosts for your considerate efforts and thoughtful cares. We will pass on the Chinese culture and language that we have learned here to our brethrens in Malaysia.¡± said a representative of the Malaysian teacher group at the graduation ceremony today in the Lecture Hall of Zhi Shan Teaching Building, which drew to an end to the 13-day Chinese language training program.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Malaysian teachers took a review of their activities by watching a video made by Hunan TV and International College of Chinese Language and Culture of HNU. During the 13 days, Malaysian visitors had courses on Chinese and Chinese culture and visited Shaoshan and Zhangjiajie. ¡°We were impressed to see how spicy the Hunan food is and how beautiful the natural sceneries are, most important, we have benefited a lot from the class learning.¡± said one teacher. Ji Hong, delegate of from the Overseas Chinese Affair Office of the State Council, Ms. Wang Shuyuan, Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and HNU Vice President Jiang Hongxin presented at the ceremony, they pointed out the significance of the program and encouraged international exchange to promote overseas Chinese education.
After the ceremony, all participants had a get-together in the studio of Zhi Shan Teaching Building. Singing and dancing from Malaysia and China were performed, international students from America, Japan, Indonesia, Korea and Russia also sang their well-known national songs.
