Hunan Normal Univeristy, Changsha, Oct.19: President Allen Sessums of Delaware State University paid a two-day-visit to HNU. Accompanying him in his visit was Chairperson of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics Department of DSU.
A welcoming ceremony & a signing ceremony of Memorandum of Cooperation between the two universities was held at 11 am in the conference room of the administration building. President Liu Xiangrong and Vice-President Jiang Hongxin were present.
President Liu Xiangrong delivered the welcoming speech for President Sessums’ coming. In the speech, President Liu said that this visit will enhance the exchange and cooperation between the two universities. After the speech, the two presidents signed the MOC on the basis of which the two universities will develop and carry out the various collaborative programs.
During the visit, President Sessums visited the campus and several other famous tourist spots in Changsha. President Sessums has visited China 47 times, but this marked his first time to visit Changsha, Hunan. The rapid progress and development of HNU and Changsha have left a deep impression on him.
