Social work and awards
Now he is one of the syndics and experts of National Social Science Fund Program, committeeman of National Foreign Language Teaching Supervising Committee, director of National Foreign Literature Study Association, and also the leader of English Language and Literature Key Discipline in Hunan Province.
He has got one National Excellent Teaching Achievements Award which sponsored by Ministry of Education and 3 provincial excellent achievement of social science.

Primary academic activities and achievement
His research interest covers translation theory and practice of English literature, literature commentary  and higher education theory and administration. He has published 8 books and 80 thesis, Now he is in change of and has finished 2 National Social Science Fund projects and 10 Provincial projects. He was elected as a member in “Provincial One Hundred Talents Project” and is one the of Provincial discipline leaders of new century.
