 Abstract: Device and analysis method for simultaneous measurements of electrochemical impedance and piezoelectric quartz impedance are depicted in this patent. The measurement device is featured by the connection of a suitable capacitance between a commercial impedance analyzer and an electrochemical workstation, and a rapid program for simultaneous analyses of conductance (G) and susceptance (B) data is written based on a BVD equivalent circuit including this isolation capacitance, yielding one group of BVD parameters within 1 s that is the fastest now. Agreement results between separate and simultaneous measurements are obtained. This invention is expected to find wide application in fields such as electrode surface modification, chemo/biosensing, electrode reaction investigation, electroplating, metal corrosion/protection.
